Paul is a solicitor-advocate assisting clients regarding matters of BVI law from London.  Paul is a key to Agon providing a seamless service to its clients across jurisdictions and time zones.

Paul enjoys an excellent reputation among clients and other lawyers in the jurisdiction and, having moved from Carey Olsen to take Partnership with Agon, has already established himself as a trusted advisor to many clients who seek out his technical – and practical – advice.

Paul specialises in insolvency, fraud, asset recovery and shareholder disputes and has extensive experience of applications for interlocutory relief, including freezing injunctions, Norwich Pharmacal orders and appointments of provisional liquidators and receivers.

Paul has acted on a number of important cases in the BVI and frequently appears, both as advocate and in a solicitor role, on some of the most significant cases in recent years, including cases before  the Court of Appeal and the Privy Council.

Paul was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2012 and in the BVI as a solicitor-advocate in 2016.

Led by Arabella di Iorio, the ‘small but high-performing team’ at Agon Litigation is regularly instructed by onshore firms and multinational companies in complex cross-border disputes including restructuring, insolvency, trust and probate matters. The ‘incredibly experienced and clever’ di Iorio routinely provides expert advice on matters of BVI law, frequently appearing as an advocate at all court levels in the BVI and the Privy Council. The practice has been bolstered by the addition of Brian Child from Campbells, whose practice encompasses all areas of commercial litigation, insolvency claims and regulatory matters, as well as Paul Griffiths from Carey Olsen. Griffiths, who splits his time between London and BVI, frequently appears on BVI cases before the Court of Appeal and the Privy Council, both as an advocate and in a solicitor role.
