Valentyn Zasukha heads the Corporate and M&A practice at the firm. With over two decades of experience as a legal manager and advisor, he is one of the market’s top experts in investments, business transfers and private equity transactions. Valentyn focuses on corporate financings and restructurings, cross-border investments, corporate governance issues, banking and financial services regulatory.

Valentyn has handled a large number of corporate restructurings and reorganizations, including cross-border mergers and divisions, capital structures, pre- and post-M&A developments, JVs and exit strategies. His experience includes many landmark and innovative deals involving Ukrainian businesses or Ukraine as an investment destination. These relate to syndicate lending, subordinated debt, refinancing, title financing, as well as guiding businesses and private investors through corporate governance issues and banking and financial services regulatory.

Prior to joining Hillmont Partners, Valentyn coordinated the legal function within major national investment companies, financial institutions and NPL funds. He acted as a lead advisor on a large number of domestic and cross-border transactions for Ukrainian and international companies, private equity funds, venture funds and owner-managers.
