Career

Andrii heads the Dispute Resolution practice and co-heads the White Collar Crime practice. He has over 16 years of professional experience in the judiciary and legal consulting. He specializes in the development of corporate legal security measures, comprehensive protection of the interests of corporate and private clients, as well as the resolution of complex disputes and conflicts.

He has practical competencies in supporting commercial and investment disputes, judicial and criminal proceedings arising between creditors and debtors, in developing and implementing strategies for legal protection of business and investments, as well as countering raiding and pressure on business activities.

Sectoral expertise includes work with extractive industries and traditional energy industries, business support in the retail segment, and coordination of infrastructure and educational projects.

Prior to joining Hillmont Partners, Andrii worked in the judiciary for many years. In particular, in the Kyiv District Administrative Court, the Supreme Administrative Court of Ukraine, and as a judge of the local general court. He gained experience in legal consulting at Moor & Krosondovich law firm.

Andrii is an author and co-author of more than 30 scientific and practical publications, including handbook for judges «Invalidation of transactions: fundamentals of theory and judicial practice», articles in the official publications of the Supreme Court of Ukraine, the High Economic Court of Ukraine, the High Administrative Court of Ukraine, the High Specialized Court of Ukraine for Civil and Criminal Cases, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, etc.

Andrii is one of the developers and teachers of training courses for judges on the application of the practice of the European Court of Human Rights, the norms of international humanitarian law and international criminal law, as well as on the peculiarities of certain categories of civil cases.

The national expert in the framework of the Council of Europe project “Support to the Judiciary of Ukraine in Ensuring Better Access to Justice”.

Member of the Commission on Legal Reform under the President of Ukraine (working group for the development of legislation on the organization of the judiciary and the administration of justice) in 2019-2020.
