Position
Andrew has an established practice in claimant and defendant personal injury work, clinical negligence and continues to have a national reputation in licensing. Recent clinical negligence cases include: a negligent failure to diagnose a brain tumour which caused the death of a child and psychiatric injury to his siblings; a claim against a general practitioner who failed to diagnose a heart attack with fatal consequences; an extravasation injury to a disabled child; and a failure to diagnose a rare form of bone cancer. Recent personal injury cases include: an electrocution injury which caused a severe upper limb injury to an electricity line worker; a company director who suffered multiple injuries in a road traffic accident; a finger amputation to a factory worker with a significant psychological injury. Recent licensing cases include: the appeal of a review of one of the biggest nightclubs in the West Midlands; a review of a bar associated with gang activity; and an appeal of a new licence application for a convenience store in a developing area of Birmingham. Andrew accepts instructions nationwide.
