Yolanda Pemberton
Position
After completing her pupillage in 2003 with St Philips, Yolanda has specialised her practice in all areas of family law. Yolanda has experience in representing both parents, local authorities, guardians and also other family members in care proceedings, including grandparents. She has experience of cases working on behalf of parents of all ages who suffer from varying levels of learning disabilities. Yolanda has a variety of experience in dealing with private law matters, including those where the dispute is fairly straightforward to matters of contact where parents have been hostile to the idea of contact in principle. She has experience in working not only with CAFCASS, but also with other specialised agencies such as the Contact Consultancy Agency, who assist in the most difficult of contact cases where a more in depth approach is required. Yolanda has also been involved in cases where the issue is not simply one of contact or residence, but also that of removal from the jurisdiction. Yolanda has experience in handling cases where the assets involved are small to medium range. She also has experience with cases where there are insufficient assets to re-house both parties, or where the sole issue between the parties is distribution of liabilities rather than assets.
