Within: Oil and gas

Hogan Lovells International LLP 'is first-rate for oil and gas work' according to one client who also describes Kieron O’Callaghan and counsel Ben Hornan as 'excellent lawyers'. The practice is led by Richard Tyler who currently acts as project counsel to the Shah Deniz consortium for the development of the landmark project, and is collaborating with Steven Bryan to advise Statoil on the proposed sale of its interests in the Teesside oil terminal. A major global oil company also appointed the group to oversee its entry into an African market through the procurement of an ultra-deep water project in the Atlantic Ocean, and counsel Ben Sulaiman continues to represent an oil major in the corporate, project development, commercial contract and maritime treaty advice arising from its high-profile discovery asset in Africa alongside Markus Burgstaller . The team was recently bolstered by the arrival of Sarah Shaw from Allen & Overy LLP and Arun Velusami from Norton Rose Fulbright .
