Career

Deborah Gregory is a seasoned partner with over 35 years’ experience advising stakeholders on domestic and cross-border corporate restructuring and insolvency transactions.

Based in London, she has worked on transactions as varied as the administration of Travelex, Palmer & Harvey, Conviviality Group, the Gaucho CVA, to the restructuring of companies in the retail, casual dining, hotels, travel, infrastructure, health care, and real estate sectors.

Deborah advises stakeholders at all levels in a restructuring transaction, from the senior creditors through to the equity sponsor and the board of directors. Her knowledge of the technical and commercial issues facing each stakeholder in any restructuring transaction gives her an understanding of the drivers for their behaviour and allows her to advise her clients on the best way of achieving the desired outcome. Deborah is one of the few city lawyers experienced in advising insolvency practitioners not only where insolvency is used as part of a pre-planned restructuring process but also on free-fall and trading insolvencies.
