Within: Insurance and reinsurance litigation

Hogan Lovells International LLP advises across the full range of insurance disputes, specialising in those involving sanctions, regulatory issues and white-collar crime and investigations. It has a commitment to the cost and time-saving benefits of alternative dispute resolution and a track record in multi-party arbitrations. The firm’s belief in providing a value-for-money service has also driven the development and implementation of Prism, an early case assessment tool generating a timetable, costs and actions lists for clients facing complex disputes. Among these clients the firm counts major players in the insurance market such as Phoenix Group, AXA and Willis Towers Watson. Practice head Nick Atkins’ work extends from disputes about complex reinsurance and insurance coverage issues to negligence actions involving brokers and third-party administrators. He leads a team that includes Lloyd's market specialist Jamie Rogers and Victor Fornasier, who is currently acting for PA(GI) in relation to liability for payment protection insurance (PPI) policies dating back to the late 1980s.
