Within: Corporate governance

Linklaters LLP, which is deservedly recognised as a 'a leader in the field', has been providing an integrated, global risk management, governance and regulatory practice since its dedicated operational intelligence group was established in 2014. The firm provides the full spectrum of advice on governance and compliance models, risk assessments, reporting, disclosure, investigations and crisis management. Tom Shropshire is advising the board and executive management of a financial institution with operations in Europe and the US on its approach to corporate governance, compliance policies and procedures and reporting frameworks. In another matter, which concerns a client's worldwide operations, Shropshire is acting for a global corporate in an assessment of its corporate governance structure and practices, and the effectiveness of its compliance procedures. Shropshire is also assisting another global company with an internal investigation into its operations in Latin America. Vanessa Havard-Williams, who demonstrates 'first-class judgment', has expertise in human rights and sustainability issues, environmental and product safety, and crisis management, among other areas. Shropshire and Havard-Williams co-lead the practice with Satindar Dogra, who has more than 20 years of experience of fraud investigations and corporate crime. Richard Cumbley has expertise in global projects involving data security incidents, regulatory investigations and large-scale privacy-related litigation. Alexandra Beidas, who leads the incentives team, acts for 40 of the companies listed on the FTSE 100, and also advises a number of FTSE 250 companies. Other notable individuals include Tom Cassels, Harry Eddis and Michael Kent. Recently promoted partner Rachel Barrett and managing associate Lucy Blake are also highly recommended.
