Position

Eilidh is an Associate in our Rural Services team, based in Edinburgh

Eilidh gained both her LLB (Hons) and Diploma in Professional Legal Practice from the University of Aberdeen, graduating from the former in May 2015. She then carried out her two-year traineeship with Lindsays, gaining experience in our Rural Property, Private Client and Dispute Resolution and Litigation departments.

Eilidh now advises estate owners, rural businesses, individuals and lenders on all aspects of buying, selling and leasing rural property. She has experience in dealings with all aspects of rural property work ranging from crofts to landed estates, agricultural leasing and forestry transactions.

Lindsays‘ rural services practice has a long track record handling large, landed estates matters, specialising in agricultural tenancies, crofting law and renewable energy projects. The firm is also well equipped to advise on clan law, feudal dignities and heraldic law, with practice head Michael Yellowlees being the key contact here. Susan Law is regularly instructed by landowner and developer clients to assist with renewable energy projects. Senior associate Eilidh Robertson and associate Lewis Crofts are other key members of the team. Tim Macdonald left the firm in December 2022 and is now at Anderson Strathern.
