Career

Abigail is a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney and advises a wide variety of clients on all aspects of UK and international trade mark law and practice.
With over 17 years experience both in private practice and in-house, she regularly provides strategic IP advice to clients for the protection and enforcement of trade mark portfolios worldwide. Abigail has substantial experience with portfolio management, oppositions, invalidation and revocation actions, infringement and passing off, taking into account appropriate commercial considerations. She also has advocacy experience in inter partes and ex parte Hearings before the UKIPO.

Abigail has acted for clients across a wide range of industries such as automotive, retail and consumer goods, financial, advertising, marketing, media and technology.

Memberships

Abigail sits on CITMA’s Education, Qualification and Standards committee which assists with the development and requirements for individuals to become qualified Trade Mark Attorneys.

She is also an active member of LESI, working together with other members to provide webinars on topics such as brand collaboration and social media influencers.

Abigail is a member of INTA and has been listed as a key lawyer in the Legal 500 since 2021.

Lewis Silkin’s IP practice assists its clients with the entire lifecycle of IP-related work. It manages IP portfolios for household names and multi-national clients, as well as trademark filings, anti-counterfeiting matters, and oppositions and disputes.
