Firas Bakr
Position
Managing Partner, Firas Bakr has extensive experience in corporate and commercial law, transactional work, construction, insurance, mergers and acquisitions, project development and financing, advising both local and foreign companies. His clients include Ayla Oasis Development Company, Arab Potash Company, Arab Fertilizers and Chemical Industries and Jordan Insurance Company.
He also heads the firm’s project development, finance, and construction practices. He has served as lead counsel on numerous transactions including major real estate and tourism development projects; acquisitions of target companies in the mining and waste management industries; negotiation of long-term gas sale agreements for industrial use.
Firas has extensive experience in litigation. He acts as advocate and adviser in court and arbitration proceedings concerning major construction, engineering, and infrastructure projects in Jordan. He also sits as an arbitrator, adjudicator and mediator in commercial and construction arbitrations.
