Position

Stan is a partner in the corporate law / M&A practice and specialises in advising and assisting both national and international companies on cross-border and domestic M&A transactions, investments, divestitures and joint ventures. Stan heads HEUSSEN’s China Desk and frequently travels to China, to support HEUSSEN’s Chinese clients with their Dutch and European ventures.

Career

Founding partner of HEUSSEN Amsterdam (since 2005). First admitted to the bar in 1992. Trained at a law firm in the Hague. Unconditionally qualified in 1995. Joined (the predecessor of) Landwell Attorneys-at-Law and Civil Law Notaries in November 1997. Senior associate at Landwell, the correspondent law firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers, and later with Van Doorne, which merged with Landwell.

Languages

Stan is fluent in Dutch and English and masters German and Papiamento on an intermediate level.

Member of The Amsterdam Bar Association; Netherlands Bar Association; Netherlands Association of Securities law; Corporate Litigation Association. Stan is also a member of the IBA (International Bar Association).
