Career

Miquel Roca Junyent is the Founding Partner and President of RocaJunyent. With more than fifty years of experience in the legal field, he is one of the most respected and recognized lawyers in Spain.

In his political stage he was one of the seven rapporteurs entrusted with the drafting of the Spanish Constitution of 1978, as well as a member of the Commission that drafted the Statute of Autonomy of Catalonia. He was Deputy for Barcelona and President of the Catalan Parliamentary Group in the Congress of Deputies from 1977 to 1995.

Miquel Roca is also recognized as a corporate lawyer who has participated in some of the largest corporate operations in Spain. In this sense, some of the largest Spanish companies request him a second opinion advice. That’s it:

In this sense, he has been appointed Doctor Honoris Causa by the Distance Education University of León, Girona University, Cádiz University, European University of Madrid and Pontifical University of Comillas.

Among his most outstanding recognitions, he possesses the Grand Cross of Isabel the Catholic, the Grand Cross of the Order of Constitutional Merit, the Grand Necklace of the Order of Civil Merit, the Gold Medal of the City of Barcelona, ​​the Gold Medal of the City Council of Madrid, the Gold Medal of the Community of Madrid, the Creu de Sant Jordi, the Grand Cross on the merit of the Advocacy, the Great Cross of San Raimundo de Peñafort and the Gold Medal of the Government of Aragon.

Furthermore, Miquel has been recognised as a leading lawyer in his field by renowned international directories such as Chambers & Partners (Corporate/Commercial – BCN 2022), Legal 500 (Commercial, Corporate and M&A – Spain 2021) and Best Lawyers.

In addition, he is the author of numerous legal papers, articles, publications and books, among which “Yes, Lawyer.”

Likewise, he currently holds the positions of President of the Societat Econòmica Barcelonesa d’Amics del País; he is the Life Patron of the Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundation; President of the National Museum of Art of Catalonia; and Patron-Founder of the Pro Academia Foundation of the Royal Academy of Jurisprudence and Legislation.
