Tamar Cohen is a partner at  Gornitzky & Co. 

Tamar specializes in, inter alia, the fields of Banking and Finance, Real Estate and Corporate and Commercial law.

In her banking and finance practice, Tamar represents both lenders and borrowers. On the lender side, she represents some of Israel’s leading commercial banks and financial institutions. Tamar specializes in a wide array of large-scale financing transactions, including the financing of merger and acquisition transactions, ongoing activities for publically traded and private companies, and energy and infrastructure project finance. Her experience also extends to refinancing, syndication deals and more. On the borrower side, Tamar represents a wide array of commercial companies including, inter alia, companies in the real estate and hotel industries.

Within her real estate practice, Tamar represents real estate companies, entrepreneurs and private clients in all aspects of commercial and residential real estate law, including the sale and purchase of income producing properties and residential assets, as well as in commercial leases. In addition, Tamar represents one of Israel’s leading hotel chains in their acquisitions of hotels and provides ongoing legal support to one of the country’s largest shopping mall chains.

With her combined knowledge and expertise in the fields of finance and real estate, Tamar has developed a unique specialization in the financing of real estate construction and transactions. In this respect she has represented banks and other financial institutions in the financing of the construction of commercial and residential properties and the ongoing financing of income-yielding assets.
