Ayelet Hillel-Birenzwig, Adv. (CPA), a senior partner at Shekel & Co. Law Offices, joined the firm in 2007.
Ayelet has specialized in the tax field for over 20 years, with a focus on representing clients before the tax authorities, including handling pre-rulings, tax rulings, and assessment hearings.
Before joining the firm, Ayelet held various top-level positions at the Israel Tax Authority, including in the Professional Division and was Professional Advisor to the Director General of the Israel Tax Authority. Ayelet is a certified public accountant with a B.A. in Business Administration and Accounting and holds LL.B. and LL.M. degrees. She is Chairman of the Direct Taxes Forum of the Israel Bar Association and lectures in various forums of the Israel Lawyers Bar, the Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and professional in-service training courses. She has also lectured in the departments of accounting and law at the College of Management and the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya.
