Career

Tom Ruys focuses on European and Belgian competition law as well as public international law. He combines extensive academic expertise with practical skills, allowing him to deliver pragmatic and effective advice to clients. As a top specialist, Tom advises and represents clients in the full spectrum of EU and Belgian competition law, more particularly in matters concerning complex merger control, cartels and state aid. He is also an expert on public international law, including treaty law, state responsibility for breaches of international law, immunity law and the interaction between national and international law. In addition, he advises clients on public procurement procedures of European institutions.
