Career
Michael’s main practice areas are banking and finance, investment services regulation, and general corporate and commercial. In particular, Michael is actively involved in both local and cross-border financing and M&A transactions. He also regularly assists with matters relating to insurance and investment funds.
Michael was recruited as a Trainee with the firm in July 2014. In 2015 he graduated with a Doctor of Laws from the University of Malta, after submitting his thesis entitled ‘Reinsurance Special Purpose Vehicles: A Detailed Legal Analysis’. In 2016, Michael was appointed as an Associate, and in 2023 he was promoted to Senior Associate. He forms part of the Corporate and Finance Practice Group.
