Career

Jean-Daniel Bretzner, Partner, is a member of the Litigation team. He has extensive experience in corporate litigation, representing companies and their senior executives in civil, commercial and criminal proceedings.

Jean-Daniel Bretzner has written numerous articles for legal journals on subjects such as contract law, evidence law, procedural law and economic law. He has created an annual column on evidence law which appears in the Recueil Dalloz. He has recently contributed to several books (“Réforme du droit des contrats et pratique des affaires”, published in 2015 by Dalloz; “L’émergence d’un droit des plateformes”, published in 2021 by Dalloz Editions). He was a member of the Commission set up by Mrs Arens, President of the Cour de cassation, which wrote a report entitled “La réforme du droit français de la responsabilité civile et les relations économiques”. He is currently a member of the “Commission de réforme du droit des contrats spéciaux”, set up the Ministère de la Justice and headed by Professor Stoffel-Munck.
