The litigation group at Rodrigo (formerly: Rodrigo, Elías & Medrano Abogados) sits within its integrated dispute resolution practice. It is highly proficient in proceedings involving administrative, civil, commercial and constitutional litigation for both domestic and international clients - notably those drawn form the mining, oil and gas, telecoms and financial sectors, among others. The leadership trio consists of José Tam, who has extensive experience handling complex commercial litigation and negotiation proceedings; and Arturo Aza and Renzo Carrasco, who specialise in complex constitutional litigation. Further partner-level firepower is supplied by Jorge Alvarado and Fabrizio Castellano who have expertise in contentious-administrative and constitutional proceedings. Experienced associate Mayra Jimenez specialises in civil litigation, while Sergio Gianotti focuses on commercial litigation and contentious public law proceedings. The team's capacity was further expanded with the arrival of associates: Raúl Fernando Zuñiga Peralta in June 2024 from Muñiz, Olaya, Meléndez, Castro, Ono & Herrera Abogados; Raiza Arroyo and Oriana Juliet Sarango Nuñez from Benites, Vargas & Ugaz (in July and October, respectively); and finally, Fernando Rincón from Hernández & Cía, in November the same year.
