Jorge Alvarado specializes in dispute resolution. He advises on strategy definition and negotiation of alternative solutions in national and international arbitrations and, civil, commercial, administrative, and constitutional proceedings.

He has extensive experience in various types of controversies, before public and private entities, in sectors such as retail, mining, energy, construction, transportation, telecommunications, infrastructure and concessions, natural resources, and public procurement.

Jorge was an International Visiting Advisor on Dechert LLP international arbitration practice at their Paris office (2019).

He has been a professor of Introduction to Procedural Law at the Universidad de Lima (UL, 2013-2019) and president of the Board of Directors of the Civil Association Academic Forum, an institution that publishes the magazine Foro Jurídico, edited by students of the Faculty of Law of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP, 2006).

Jorge is a registered arbitrator at the National and International Arbitration Center of the Lima Chamber of Commerce (CCL) and has been recognized by Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 as a leading specialist in arbitration and judicial litigation in Peru.
