The 'very strong' set Brick Court Chambers is 'pre-eminent in competition law' and has an excellent track record in handling competition-related group litigation cases. The 'laser-sharp' Helen Davies KC continues to act for Mercedes Benz and Victoria Wakefield KC leads the advice to Hyundai-Kia in emissions litigation as part of the ongoing Dieselgate proceedings. Tony Singla KC is 'an absolute star of the Bar' and 'his tactical nous is first-rate'. Among the junior end of chambers, Gerard Rothschild is 'very across the collective action regime, and gives advice tailored to the realities'. Jennifer MacLeod, unled, acted for the CMA as intervenor in Justin Le Patourel v BT Group plc, the first 'opt-out' collective proceedings case in the UK concerning alleged overcharging for telephone services involving millions of consumers; the Competition Appeal Tribunal dismissed the claim.
