Polibio focuses his practice on financial and banking services, capital markets advisory, mergers and acquisitions, international business transactions, and the development and operation of hotels, as well as conventional and renewable energy projects.

He regularly represents lenders and borrowers in working capital loans, asset-based financings and project finance transactions; issuers and underwriters in securities offerings and securitizations; private entities in restructurings and reorganizations; and financial institutions, including banks, exchange bureaus, broker/dealers and investment funds, in transactional and regulatory matters. He also represents buyers and sellers in mergers and acquisitions across sectors such as banking and finance, retail, utilities, and hospitality services, and advises producers, developers and investment funds in the development of energy projects.

Polibio, who is admitted to practice law in the Dominican Republic and the State of New York, has worked as an attorney in the Dominican Republic, Houston, Texas and Washington, D.C., in preeminent global firms and in the Legal Department of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). He regularly participates in discussion forums on securitizations, trusts, public offerings, restructurings and due diligence processes.

He currently serves as Co-Chair of the International Finance & Securities Committee of the American Bar Association, where he has been a member since 2009, and is also Vice-President of Centrocámara de Comercio de la República Dominicana, the chamber of commerce of all Central American countries and the Dominican Republic. Polibio is also an independent Board Member of several corporations.
