– Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius called the "Obamacare" nickname a "badge of honor."  The Hill, Politico, and The Washington Post all take a look at how Democrats are seeking to reclaim the narrative on health reform for the election season.

– Arizona resident Stacey Lihn addressed the convention in an emotional speech chronicling her daughter Zoe's battle with a heart defect.  She credited the ACA's prohibition on lifetime coverage caps for allowing Zoe to get the repeated open heart surgeries she needs.

– The Associated Press fact checked the first day speakers and found that many "embellished" the President's accomplishments and the ACA in particular.

– Politico notes that ten Democrats targeted by Republicans for their support of the ACA are skipping the Charlotte convention entirely.
