Karar, yayımlandığı tarih olan 13 Mart 2023 tarihinde yürürlüğe girmiş bulunmaktadır. Gemi Adamlarının İkamet Yerleri, Sağlık ve İaşelerine Dair Yönetmelik'in (Bundan sonra "Yönetmelik" olarak anılacaktır.) 8. Maddesi aşağıdaki gibidir:

"MADDE 8- İaşe Servisi kurulması mecburi olmayan veya iaşenin zaruri sebeplerle uygulanamadığı gemilerde çalışan gemi adamlarına işverenler tarafından iaşe karşılığı olarak verilecek günlük iaşe bedeli, Çalışma ve Sosyal Güvenlik Bakanlığının çağrısı üzerine toplanacak ve bu Yönetmeliğin 9 uncu maddesine göre oluşturulacak Kurul tarafından, sahil mıntıkalarının özelliklerine göre veya yurt çapında en geç bir yılda bir tespit edilir."
