The minimum wage is not only the base salary.

PolandEmployment and HR

On 23 July 2021, a draft regulation containing a proposal to increase the minimum wage for 2022 was published. As a result, the minimum salary a full-time employee will receive from 1 January 2002 will amount to PLN 3,000 (approx. EUR 660), which means an increase of PLN 200 (7.1%) in relation to the amount currently in force. The minimum monthly wage is set in gross amount.

If the employment contract provides for a lower wage, the minimum wage will apply by law. Payment of wages below the minimum wage is a violation of employment rights and may be subject to fines.

At the same time, the minimum hourly rate for persons performing tasks under certain civil law contracts in 2022 will be PLN 19.60 gross, i.e. PLN 1.30 more than this year.
