El 8 de septiembre de 2026 se publicó en el Diario Oficial de la Federación (el “DOF”) el Acuerdo número ACDO.AS2.HCT.310826/238.P.DIR (el “Acuerdo”), mediante el cual el Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social (el “IMSS”) implementa la Tarjeta de Identificación Patronal Digital (la “TIP Digital”) a través del Buzón IMSS.

La Tarjeta de Identificación Patronal (la “TIP”) es el documento mediante el cual las personas empleadoras acreditan ante el IMSS a las personas autorizadas para realizar determinados trámites patronales en su nombre. Con el nuevo esquema, las personas empleadoras y sujetos obligados deberán generar la TIP Digital a través del Buzón IMSS, que sustituirá a la tarjeta física en los trámites en los que ésta sea requerida.
