This is particularly true, when shining a light on the technological and digital benefits that may be reaped by both sectors. Throughout history, evolution has many a time been a result of necessity and not choice. This reasoning also holds for the shipping and aviation industries. The paper seeks to highlight shifts throughout the industries that have reaped positive results and linking this to the potential beneficial changes that may result out of the COVID-19 pandemic."
