The University of Malta (UM) is proud to announce a research initiative aimed at strengthening the sustainability and growth of the freight and logistics sector in Malta. In collaboration with the Research, Innovation & Development Trust (RIDT) and generously funded by the HSBC Malta Foundation, this ambitious project marks a significant step forward in addressing the challenges and opportunities in this vital industry of logistics and transport.Situated strategically in the Mediterranean Sea, the Maltese islands have played a pivotal role in facilitating the expansion of local and international freight and logistics operations. Despite this, a noticeable gap exists in research and data availability, hindering further progress and optimization within the sector.
