A few days after the publication of the list of all applicants who successfully passed the technical verification, the Italian gaming regulatory agency (Agenzia delle Dogane e Monopoli or "ADM") announced today that the deadline for completing the ongoing online gaming licensing process in Italy, originally set to expire on 17 September 2025, has been extended to 12 November 2025.

The reasons for such postponement include the additional time required by ADM to carry out all necessary cross-checks on the applications involving interaction with other competent governmental agencies, certain technical issues experienced on the CONSIP portal – where all the application-related documentation must be uploaded – and, last, but not least, the traditional business slowdown coinciding with the August recess and the related staffing shortages.
