חברת Artifex Software, Inc. ("ארטיפקס") היא בעלת תוכנת Ghostscript ("גוסטסקריפט"), המפענחת קבצי pdf. חברת Hancom, Inc. ("הנקום") היא בעלת Hangul ("הנגול"), מעבד תמלילים ו-Hancom Office ("הנקום אופיס"), מערך יישומים שכולל את הנגול, ואחרים.

בשנת 2013, הנקום כללה את גוסטסקריפט בתוך קוד המקור של הנגול. באותו זמן גוסטסקריפט הייתה זמינה הן תחת רישיון "קוד פתוח" מסוג GPL והן תחת רישיון מסחרי בתשלום. הנקום השתמשה בגרסה תחת רישיון GPL. בדצמבר 2016 ארטיפקס הגישה תביעה נגד הנקום בגין הפרת חוזה והפרת זכויות יוצרים כתוצאה מאי עמידה בתנאי רישיון GPL (זאת לאחר שבאוגוסט 2016 הנקום הסירה את קוד גוסטסקריפט מהנגול בהמשך לדרישה שקיבלה לכך מארטיפקס).
