Hong Kong/Macao: Travel permits for non-Chinese permanent residents of Hong Kong and Macao SARs for mainland China to be extended

Chinese officials announced that non-Chinese permanent residents of the Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions can now apply for a travel permit to the mainland.

The important points of these new regulations are:

First-time applicants must submit the application in person to a company authorized by the Exit and Entry Administration of China.
The two companies authorized by the Exit and Entry Administration to provide these relevant services are China Travel Service (Holdings) Hong Kong Limited and China Travel Service (Macao) Ltd.
