Ontario has introduced the Working for Workers Seven Act, 2025, a comprehensive legislative package that is expected to be passed shortly. Like its six predecessors, this bill includes a number of workerfocused measures, such as stronger enforcement of safety regulations and new supports for laid-off workers. It also proposes important reforms to the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (the province's economic immigration program that nominates foreign nationals for permanent residence) to improve the integrity and responsiveness of the program.
