Extension of the deadline for submitting applications

Since March 1, 2026, the authorities of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region have allowed individuals and their dependents who are admitted under the following talent and employment programs to apply for an extension of their stay up to three months before the expiration of their current period of stay:

General employment policy
Admission program for talents and professionals from mainland China
Admission System for Science and Technology Talents
Scheme for Non-local Graduates to Stay/Return to Hong Kong for Employment
Admission System for Highly Skilled Migrants
and
Admission System for Second Generation Hong Kong Chinese Nationals with Permanent Residence.
