Le 17 juin 2025, Le Sénat américain a approuvé la Guiding and Establishing National Innovation for U.S. Stablecoins Act (la « GENIUS Act »), à l'issue d'un vote bipartite à 68 contre 30. Bien qu'elle n'ait pas encore été promulguée, la GENIUS Act marque une étape importante dans la mise en place d'un cadre réglementaire fédéral régissant les cryptomonnaies stables aux États-Unis.
