1. A commercial development application has been filed by BlackPearl Resources with the Alberta Energy Resources Conservation Board ("ERCB") for a $2.8 billion steam assisted gravity drainage ("SAGD") project in northwest Lac La Biche County. The 80,000 bpd project is expected to have up to 69 well pads over its lifespan, and will be constructed in three phases between 2013 and 2021. An independent reserves evaluation of the project has assigned a total proved plus probable reserves figure of 182 mmbbl to the first phase of the project, slated to begin construction at the end of 2013, with a further best‐estimate contingent resource figure of 476 mmbbl to the remainder of the project.
