Die Reform bringt einigen Anpassungsbedarf für Unternehmer mit sich. Positiv ist, dass erstmals eigene Regelungen für digitale Leistungen vorliegen.

2022 bringt mit dem Gewährleistungsrichtlinien-Umsetzungsgesetz (GRUG) ein erhebliches Update für das Gewährleistungsrecht. Während dieses für alle Arten von Verträgen bisher weitgehend im Allgemeinen bürgerlichen Gesetzbuch (ABGB) geregelt war, gilt für Verbrauchergeschäfte zukünftig auch das neue Verbrauchergewährleistungsgesetz (VGG). Erfasst sind davon aber nicht alle Vertragstypen, sondern nur" Kaufverträge über bewegliche Sachen (auch solche, die der Unternehmer erst herstellen muss) und solche über die Bereitstellung digitaler Leistungen (Apps, Software-Downloads etc.).
