A timely reminder.

It seems that every time I read the news there is another reminder of the risks surrounding the property market. Statistically at least, the property construction industry is certainly going through a rough patch at the moment. While I'm sure there are a multitude of reasons why this is the case, there are two very large elephants in the room that seem to be at the forefront of the problem, namely:

  • The Banking Royal Commission has certainly begun to show its effect with businesses and individuals finding it more difficult to quickly and readily obtain finance.
  • The reduction in foreign investment in Australia, primarily from China where Chinese nationals can invest overseas—has reduced considerably.
