Recent Success: Non-Publication Order after Nine (9) Years

Stonegate legal were successful in obtaining a non-publication order of a decision that was decided in 2014 after the reported decision against a specialist doctor appeared at number 1 in a Google search for the client's name.

Because of this top search result in Google, the doctor client was experiencing bullying & harassment online, loss of income, and the content of the 2014 decision was ruining the client's good name in society.

This, of course, was endangering the client's physical or mental health or safety of the client.

As a result, the team at Stonegate Legal applied pursuant to section 66(1) and 66(3) of the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal Act 2009 (Qld) ("the QCAT Act"), for an order that the publication of any information identifying the Applicant, or by which he/she may be identified, is prohibited.
