Chase Irwin is the Managing Partner of Dentons Canada’s Ottawa office and a member of the Firm’s National Management Committee. He is also a partner in the CorporateSecurities and Co-Lead of Dentons’ Venture Technology and Emerging Growth Companies practice groups. His practice focuses primarily on corporate law and transactional matters in the technology sector, including corporate finance and venture capital transactions, mergers and acquisitions, private placements and a broad range of securities, commercial and business law matters, with an emphasis on emerging growth companies. Chase has significant industry experience in the technology and venture capital sectors, and regularly advises high-growth, knowledge-based and emerging technology companies, as well as the venture capital funds and investors that finance them, in all stages of growth through to exit, with a particular emphasis on venture financing, capital raising and exit strategies.

As Co-Leader of the Dentons Canada Startup Program and Venture Technology and Emerging Growth Companies group at Dentons, Chase advises founders, entrepreneurs and companies at every stage of startup company formation and growth. His practice focuses on the complete life-cycle of startup companies, from formation through to exit. Chase is a leading lawyer in Canada for startups and emerging companies and has been instrumental in the successful launch and growth of many emerging technology companies across Canada. In addition to helping companies scale, Chase also works extensively with many of Canada’s leading technology venture capital firms, accelerators and other institutional and angel investors. Chase is viewed as a trusted advisor among his clients and is deeply involved in the startup and venture technology ecosystem.
