I have 20 years of healthcare experience and my practice encapsulates representation of  healthcare professionals in the defence of clinical negligence claims, healthcare regulatory and disciplinary law, inquests, appeals, judicial review, complaints and public inquiries.

In the regulatory arena, I regularly advises doctors, dentists, optometrists and other healthcare professionals involved in proceedings before the GMC/MPTS, GDC, GOC, HCPC and other healthcare regulators. I conduct my own advocacy at interim order hearings and represented a doctor involved in the longest running GMC case in history which related to the MMR vaccine (GMC v Professor Simon Murch). I am currently advising a doctor involved in the Infected Blood Inquiry. I represent doctors, dentists and optometrists who face disciplinary proceedings before NHS England.

In the clinical negligence arena, I sub-specialise in optical claims and complaints and represent optometrists, dispensing opticians and optical businesses in the defence of optical claims via their membership organisations and insurers.

Prior to joining DWF in May 2022, I worked at BLM Law for 18 years where I was the national Practice Group head for Professional Discipline, also heading up the team involved in optical claims and complaints.
