Clyde & Co is the only international law firm with a full service office in Tanzania; other firms have loose ‘associations’ with local law firms however they do not follow the Clyde & Co model of having an office where internationally qualified lawyers sit with Tanzanian qualified lawyers, each complementing the other. We are confident that our model provides a much more responsive service than our competitors. Clients receive the same level of service and responsiveness in our Dar es Salaam office as they do in our London office. Those who have done work in the region and in Tanzania in particular, often note that the biggest source of frustration can be the lack of consistency of advice from local counsel and the lack of responsiveness. Our managing partner Peter Kasanda leads the team in the Dar es Salaam office. He has extensive experience as an international lawyer with an Africa-focus, having worked for a leading law firm in London and in-house counsel at the African Development Bank. Peter is dual Tanzania and English law qualified.

Finally, Clyde & Co has a full service, state of the art office in Dar es Salaam. We are happy to host meetings to the extent they take place in Dar es Salaam, providing a centralised base for overseas clients to coordinate themselves effectively.
