Ricardo is a partner in CAR’s São Paulo office, with a focus on insurance and reinsurance law.

His practise focuses on legal advice on claims adjustment with an emphasis on Surety Bond, E&O and General Liability. Focused on business with an outstanding ability to develop new products of different types of insurance.

Ricardo is Vice President of the National Working Group on Credit and Surety Bond of the International Association of Insurance Law – AIDA.

He holds a Bachelor of Laws at Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP), a post-graduate degree in Insurance/Reinsurance Law at Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV) and an LLM in International Banking and Insurance Law at London Metropolitan University.

Besides his native language, Portuguese, Ricardo is also fluent in English.
