Laura is a lawyer from the Pontifical Javeriana University, specializing in labor law from the same institution and in Advanced Studies in Political, Economic and Social Sciences from the University of Notre Dame, USA. She also holds an MBA from Externado University of Colombia. 

She has over 15 years of experience as a lawyer at renowned firms specializing in labor law. At Godoy, she is part of the advisory, collective bargaining, and training units, where she supports companies in the strategic management of their labor relations. She has been an assistant professor in the specialization programs in labor law and social security at the Pontifical Javeriana University, and a regular speaker at diploma programs and training courses organized by the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce and Godoy. 

Laura has worked for over 15 years as a lawyer in renowned labor law firms. She is currently part of the labor law, collective bargaining, and training advisory units at Godoy.

She has served as an assistant professor in the social security specialization program at the Pontifical Javeriana University. She has also served as an assistant professor in the labor law specialization program at the Pontifical Javeriana University. She has taught in the Labor Law Update Diploma program – Latest Developments in Labor Law and Comprehensive Social Security, offered by the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce. She is a frequent speaker and trainer on labor, collective bargaining, and social security issues at Godoy.

Columnist for the newspaper La República and other magazines, where she has published numerous articles. She strengthened her leadership skills as part of the tenth graduating class of the ORIGEN training school. She was a member of the 2020 Board of Directors of the Colombian Labor and Social Security Lawyers Association. Active member of the Colombian Labor Law Bar Association. She was a member of the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA), where she was elected as the National Representative for Colombia. She achieved one of the highest grade point averages in her specialization in Labor Law at the Pontifical Javeriana University. She received a scholarship from Externado University of Colombia to attend the Social Enterprise Conference (SECON) at Harvard University in 2017.
