Alfredo Gonzalez

Alfredo Gonzalez has more than four decades of experience in real estate, international transactions, land use, government, healthcare, environmental and aviation law. He represents clients in land use, procurement and environmental issues before governmental entities in South Florida and across the State of Florida. Recognized among Florida Trend magazine’s “Legal Elite,” Alfredo is skilled in advocating client positions before such governmental agencies as the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Florida Legislature, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Federal Trade Commission, Florida Housing Finance Authority and various local municipalities. He delivers substantial acumen in representing receivers in the disposition of assets. Alfredo has negotiated, documented, and closed major commercial and residential transactions, as well as represented banks, negotiated complex leases and prepared condominium documentation. He is counsel to an array of investors, developers, banks, healthcare providers, mortgage companies and large corporate clients. With veteran and honed experience in contract negotiations with governmental agencies, Alfredo has handled major public contracts in aviation, water and sewer, healthcare, waste disposal, environmental, transportation, construction, energy performance, Port of Miami and other governmental entities. Notably, Alfredo is a licensed real estate broker and a past board member of the Miami-Dade Expressway Authority (MDX). He is involved in the American Bar Association, The Florida Bar, the Dade County Bar Association and the Cuban American Bar Association. A past member of the Board of Directors of the Realtor Association of Miami-Dade and the Beaches, Alfredo was a trustee to the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and participated in a Blue Ribbon Committee that drafted recommendations to improve the City of Miami Building and Zoning Code. Alfredo is dedicated to providing his clients the legal counsel they need to succeed and is committed to delivering immediate responsiveness to their specific needs. Jorge Guttman

Jorge Guttman

Jorge Guttman’s practice is focused on complex business litigation and arbitration, with experience in both domestic and international disputes. Jorge represents large and small companies at all stages of the litigation or alternative dispute resolution process. Of note, he is experienced in international arbitration and 28 U.S.C. § 1782, an important tool for building and litigating cases outside the U.S. Jorge is dedicated to the successful representation of his clients’ interests using an approach that is objective, favors productive communication and, where appropriate, balanced compromise. His experience includes obtaining multiple multimillion-dollar judgments, awards and settlements over the course of his career. Originally from Venezuela, Jorge is bilingual in Spanish and English. As a result, his practice has a strong Latin American emphasis, in which he represents multinational clients in cross-border disputes. Active in Florida’s Latin American professional community, Jorge is a founding member and current President of the Venezuelan American National Bar Association (VENAMBAR). He also serves on the International Chapter and on the Attorneys’ Division of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation. Fostering diversity and inclusion is at the heart of Jorge’s commitment to the legal profession and greater community at large. As the current chair of the firm’s Diversity Committee, Jorge leads the group’s efforts in creating programs and initiatives that result in developing diverse attorneys and ensuring an inclusive culture at Gunster. Julia Holden Davis

Julia Holden Davis is a trial lawyer who focuses her practice on the construction and transportation sectors. Having served as the chief operating officer of a large regional firm, Julia is dedicated to bringing a practical understanding of the realities facing businesses. She strives to assist her clients with the constant balance between managing risks and solving problems while pursuing opportunities and growth in today’s competitive market. The combination of Julia’s trial work and business experience is instrumental in advising on risk management and business-related issues for clients. In addition to her trial experience, she assists clients in drafting and negotiating construction and design contracts. Julia advises clients regarding federal, state and local government issues, including evaluating requests for proposal/invitations to bid to establish risk profiles, as well as in complying with a broad variety of regulations such as subcontracting plans, wage requirements, joint venture limitations, licensing issues and ethics related matters. Julia also provides counsel on industry-specific due diligence in support of merger and acquisition transactions within the construction, transportation, and government contracting sectors.

Milton Vescovacci is a shareholder in Gunster’s Miami office, and a member of the firm's Corporate practice. He remains dedicated to bringing a holistic approach to his practice and to getting deals negotiated and closed, experience that stemmed from his days as a banker for multinational money center banks on complex domestic and international transactions. Milton has over twenty years of legal experience counseling lenders in a variety of sophisticated financings and companies and investors on the legal operations of their businesses, specifically in sales or acquisitions and other material events and day to day operations. He has negotiated and closed numerous secured and unsecured corporate finance and securities transactions, structured financings, venture capital investments, mergers and company acquisitions. Milton often serves as an advisor to companies, both small and medium-sized, and has experience in various industries, including banking, finance, fintech, healthcare, real estate (residential, multifamily and commercial), automobile, aviation, seafood, online marketing, maritime and admiralty, gaming, timeshare, securities, hospitality, restaurant, retail, technology, sports, entertainment, franchising, beverage and spirits, logistics and transportation, and fashion. His clients include financial institutions, family offices, healthcare providers, domestic and international manufacturers/wholesalers, private equity firms, online retailers and gaming companies, med-tech companies, founders/controlling shareholders, and individuals.
