Hani is a principal associate in our Corporate Commercial practice group based in Dubai. Hani has extensive experience advising both strategic and financial investors on wide range of regional and international M&A, joint ventures and equity capital markets transactions.

Hani was a senior associate at Freshfields Brukhaus Deringer LLP. Hani has also practiced in Egypt for a number of years and has extensive experience acting on Egyptian investment and divestment transactions.

Recent transactions on which Hani has acted include advising: a private equity house on the proposed acquisition of the entire shares in a UAE retail chain of hypermarkets; the sellers on the sale of shares in an oil & gas services group in MENA to a regional private equity house; a regional private equity firm on the takeover of a healthcare business in MENA; and an international private equity firm on the mandatory tender offer to acquire up to 100% of the shares in a healthcare business in Egypt.

Hani completed his LLB from Cairo University and obtained his LLM from Northwestern University Chicago Illinois. He is a member of the Egyptian Bar association.
