Dr. Joos Hellert is Partner in our Munich office from where he heads the German Litigation and Dispute Management practice group. Joos is a commercial litigator with more than 16 years of experience.
Joos represents commercial clients with a special expertise in distribution and franchise law. His activities include conducting complex court and arbitration proceedings, in particular in an international context. In addition, Joos advises national and international clients in compliance matters and is a member of Eversheds Sutherland's Global Compliance and Crisis Management Group.
Prior to his appointment as Partner in 2010, Joos headed the legal department of Burger Kings' Central European Division for four years. In this function he was in particular responsible for the expansion into the Eastern European markets, such as Russia. Moreover, Joos was a management member of various Burger King companies in Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands and was vice president of the German Federal Association of the Fast-Food Industry (Bundesverband der Systemgastronomie, BdS).
