Position
Max Hauser, Deputy Managing Partner of Latham & Watkins in Germany, advises clients on a broad spectrum of antitrust matters under German and EU laws.
Max draws on 15 years of experience and a sophisticated understanding of the global antitrust landscape to help clients navigate:
- Merger control and foreign direct investment (FDI) clearances in Germany, the EU, and globally
- Cartel and abuse-of-dominance investigations, as well as compliance programs and audits
- Antitrust disputes, representing both defendants and claimants
He advises clients from a wide range of industries, including automotive, financial services, healthcare and life sciences, pharmaceuticals, software and IT, and oil and gas.
A recognized thought leader, Max is regional coordinator of the Studienvereinigung Kartellrecht in Frankfurt and co-founder of the Competition Litigation Forum in Germany. He regularly publishes articles on antitrust law issues, and has co-authored a competition law commentary and a cartel damages handbook.
Max recently served on the firm’s Associates, Recruiting, and Legal & Paralegal Committees, and he was local leader of the firm’s First Generation Professionals affinity group in Germany.
