Career

Martha Baselga is counsel in the firm’s White Collar Defense, Investigations & Compliance Practice Group. Martha qualified in Spain before transferring as a Solicitor in England & Wales. Martha speaks Spanish and regularly assists in the representation of Spanish and LatAm clients.

Martha advises individuals and corporates on business crime investigations into allegations of fraud, bribery, corruption and money laundering conducted by U.K. enforcement agencies, including the Serious Fraud Office (SFO) and Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC). She regularly assists her U.S. colleagues in representing clients before the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and the U.S. Securities Exchange Commission (SEC). Her special interest is in cross-border investigations and multi-jurisdictional matters and she has particular experience in advising clients on extradition and mutual legal assistance requests.

Martha conducts internal investigations both in the U.K. and the U.S. and advises on corporate governance and compliance programs.
