Alyssa Auberger acts as global chair of Baker McKenzie's consumer goods and retail industry group and advises a broad range of luxury sector clients on acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures. In recent highlights, she assisted L'Oréal with its €1bn sale of The Body Shop to Brazilian cosmetics company Natura Cosméticos, and litigation specialist Katia Boneva-Desmicht continues to assist an iconic fashion brand with the protection of its selective distribution network. In recent highlights, Nathalie Marchand advised on the trade mark aspects of Servier's acquisition of Shire's oncology business, and Intel, as part of a group of defendants, instructed a team led by Ulmann to handle an infringement case arising from its use of the 'Ultrabook' trade mark. Baker McKenzie is increasingly active in venture and growth capital transactions. Stéphane Davin and Matthieu Grollemund head the practice. Highlights included advising Ledger on its €65m Series B financing by a range of French and international investors led by Draper Esprit and assisting Long Arc Capital with its €53m investment in Tinubu Square, the client's first investment in Europe. It assisted AEW with the acquisition of a logistic asset (38,000sqm) portfolio in France, as well as Generali Real Estate with the acquisition of the Atrium Bercy building. It also advised Am Rest and KFC on the acquisition of 42 Pizza Hut and KFC restaurants in France.
